Complementary Treatments for Conventional Cancer Therapies

We understand that receiving a cancer diagnosis can be overwhelming, and we're here to support you every step of the way. At Central Clinic & Hospital, we know that conventional cancer treatments can be challenging, and we are committed to providing our patients with the best possible care. Oncothermia, also known as loco-regional Electro-Hyperthermia, is an effective complementary treatment that has minimal adverse effects. Our mission is to help you increase your survival time and improve your quality of life while minimizing your suffering and side effects. We are committed to providing you with high-quality medical services that meet the state-of-the-art of oncology and tumor therapies.

How Oncothermia Works

Oncothermia is a fast-developing supportive and complementary treatment method against different types of tumors. Our aim is to destroy the membrane of the cancer cells using direct electric-field energy absorption in the extracellular liquid, which is a safe and effective approach. Oncothermia works synergistically with radiotherapy and numerous chemotherapies and can reduce your pain and increase your immunogenicity. We understand that Oncothermia is generally not used as a sole therapy, but rather in combination with other treatments like chemotherapy or radiotherapy. Oncothermia works by utilizing the special absorption rate of the near-membrane extracellular liquid of the tumor, and the tumor tissue impedes less than the surrounding tissues, so the cancerous lesion transmits most energy. This selection of the tumor tissues (self-focusing) renders external focusing unnecessary. Oncothermia achieves a permanent temperature increase in the extracellular liquid of the tumor tissue, leading to thermal stress on the membrane of the tumor cells, ultimately causing necrosis or apoptosis.

 The Success of Oncothermia

Oncothermia has flourished in European countries, South Korea, and Japan, and we are proud to offer it to our patients here at Central Clinic & Hospital. We have treated many patients with excellent results, and we are committed to providing you with the best possible care and support. We've hired renowned tumor doctors, Professor Chao Yee, former director of the Medical Oncology Department of Taipei Veterans General Hospital, and Dr. Chang Heng-Rui, former director of the Radiation Oncology Department of Minsheng, to be responsible for the treatment of Oncothermia. Our goal is to provide you with a warm and welcoming environment that offers emotional support and comfort throughout your treatment journey.
